Vaio UX490 Hacked with U7600 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU

Vaio Ux490 is originally equipped with a 1.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Solo processor. A MicroPC’s forum member Ahn who made a modification to computercowboy’s UX490 is successfully replace the processor to a 1.2Ghz Core 2 Duo U7600 ULV. The result is amazing. When benchmarked with Crystal Mark benchmark program, it score 45,999.Much higher compared to Vaio UX280 which has the same processor. UX280 only scores 30,069.
The modder can’t explain what causes this score jump but he guess its caused by the SSD in UX490 instead of HDD.Still he doubt that. [source]
