Bali, a Piece of Paradise on Earth
Bali is a small island among thousands island in Indonesia.There are many reasons why it’s called a paradise.
Balinese are friendly and hospitable people who has a magnificently visual culture infused with spirituality. In Bali, you can find spectacular beaches with great surfing and diving as well as thousand of Hinduism temple (pura).
Bali can be reached by plane from Major cities in Asia and Australia or by bus from Surabaya ( Indonesia).
For surfers, Bali is a must visit Spot. There are many beaches with challenges waves to try.You can buy or rent surfing equipments or hire a surfing instructor there.
Kuta
Kuta is one of the most popular sites; you can now find basically any surfing equipment there. Even in Kuta Beach and the area around it alone there are places for difficult surfs.
Uluwatu
Uluwatu is another ‘must visit’ beach in Bali. Located on the southern tip of Bali, Uluwatu is also high on a surfer’s destination list. The road to the beach is pretty well-hidden, off the road to the temple of Uluwatu (which in itself is an amazing three-court temple on top of a few hundred feet cliff). You can’t reach it by car – rent a motorcycle or walk for about two miles to get there. The site is very popular among serious surfers.
Nusa Dua
On the south-eastern tip of the island, the Nusa Dua peninsula has some nice reef that provides good waves for surfing. You can stay on any of the most sumptuous hotels in the world spread around the area, and surfing is readily available within walking distance, from a beginner’s level to a challenging one for the serious surfers.
There are also some beaches packed with tourist, especially on high seasons like Sanur or Jimbaran.
Accommodations are varies, from the $3-a-night losmens on Poppies Lane to to the $4,300-a-night residences at the Begawan Giri in Ubud or other five-stars hotels.Backpacking also common in Bali.
