Thanks for the info. I have a couple of OLPC laptops for classroom use, but they do not print (among many other problems)! Even if they did, the apps that OLPC provides do not print.

The EeePC might be the ticket for our classroom if they can print from within apps, the way most people would want.

Yes, you can print. You do need drivers. Any printer supported in linux should work. HP is known to be well supported. Many drivers are included in most linux installs, I assume xandros has them as well. There are often other drivers available online if your printer doesn't have a built in driver.

Jim, you can think that Eeepc is just a regular notebook comes in a mini dimension (7-inches screen). So everything, such as printing capabilities is not differ from normal-sized notebook

Can I print from an eeepc? Does it come with printing ability out of the box, or do I need to install drivers? If so, where do I get the drivers and how do I install them? Thanks.
