Samsung i900, U800 and L870 are unveiled, officially
Samsung introduced some of its 3G handset to some of European countries.At the Dutch telecom event called Televisie 2008, Samsung unveiled Samsung i900, U800 and L870. Samsung i900 is a tri band Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone featuring 5 MP camera with autofocus, 8GB internal flash memory, microSDHC slot for additional storage,FM radio and UMTS support. Sorry no HSDPA 7.2 MBps nor GPS here, while its rumored 3.5-inch (240 x 400) touchscreen is not confirmed.
The second handset is Samsung U800 is a candy-bar designed smartphone which comes in a Samsung U900 Soul-like design but no touchsreen here. With a 111 x 46 x 9.8 mm dimension, the Samsung U800 has Full Metal body casing. The Samsung U800 works on quad-band GSM network and support GPRS and UMTS connection. Other goodies should include BlueTooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and FM radio.
The third phone introduced by Samsung is Samsung L870, a symbian S60 smartphone comes in 102 x 50 x 13.5 mm dimension. Running on quad-band GSM networks, Samsung L870 support GPRS and 3G UMTS connectivity. A 3.0MP camera, Bluettoth 2.0, USB 2.0 and FM radio is other features packed to the Samsung L870.
