VIA Mini-ITX 2.0 Announced
VIA announcing the Mini-ITX 2.0 motherboard standard at their press release.The Mini ITX 2.0 offer much enhanced specs compared to the original mini-itx.Comes in a 17 x 17 cm dimension, Mini-ITX pre-loaded with High-performance, power efficient x86 processor, such as the VIA Nano processor and support up to 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM.
Support Windows Vista, XP and a bunch of Linux distro, Mini-Itx 2.0 packed with lots of ports and jacks including VGA port, 3 Audio jacks for up to 6-channel surround sound, gigabit LAN port, 2 Serial ATA II slots + 1 IDE (PATA) slot, 4 usb ports, PCI Express slot and a port for add-in card for HDMI. with this hardware specs, ITX 2 support Blu-Ray playback. The mini mainboard based on this Mini-ITx 2.0 standard is expected to be available at Q4 2008.
