RISO HC5500, printer with 120 ppm speed in color

Back in March, an Australian company namedSilverbrook introducing it’s high-speed printer called memjet which said to be has printing speed of 60 A4 pages per minute for color but no mass production planned in the near future.

Now, RISO, a Korea based company introducing HC5500, a printer which has 120 pages per minute printing speed in full color and costs less than $0.04 per page. Doubled the memjet speed and already available in the Korea market. Unfortunately it’s not available in basic desktop printer  form, but a huge copier form.

For the HC5500, RISO adopting various printing technology such as FORCEJET technology combining print engine, line inkjet system, high-speed paper feeding system and Comcolor color management to bring fast and hi-quality result at low cost.
