Xtreme 917V First Quad-Core Laptop in America

Xtreme 917V from Xtreme Notebooks is claimed to be the first quad-core notebook in America, while the world’s first quad-core notebook is claimed by Pioneer Computers with it’s DreamBook Power D90 SLI.
Build based on Clevo D900C notebook from Taiwan, the Xtreme 917V is powered by 1.86 GHz Core Duo for basic system up to 2.66 GHz Quad Core processor for top-end model. While for graphic processing, XtremeNotebooks packs dual 512MB GeForce Go 7950 GTX chipsets or 512MB GeForce 8700M GT chipset as an option for DirectX 10-class 3D.
Storage is handled by three HDD with 750GB maximum capacity and there are no optical drive in the Xtreme 917V which is replaced by 64GB SSD.
1.3 MP camera is a standard feature, while an NTSC/PAL hybrid TV tuner is optional. The Xtreme 917V price start from $2,399 for system with 1.86GHz desktop Core 2 Duo processor and 512MB GeForce Go 7950 GTX graphic card while top-end system with 2.66GHz Core 2 Quad processor and sports dual 512MB GeForce Go 7950 GTX chipsets will runs you at $3.359.
