VIA Openbook mini-note laptop design introduced
VIA introducing its new design for an ultra portable mini-note laptop to be the successor of the VIA Nanobook called VIA Openbook .Will be featuring up to 2 GB RAM, VIA says about the Openbook :
“Powered by the VIA C7-M ULV processor and the VIA VX800 digital media IGP chipset, the VIA OpenBook mini-note reference design is a small, 1kg, 8.9″ mini-notebook form factor design that supports screen resolutions of up to 1024×600 and high performance VIA Chrome9 DirectX 9.0 3D graphics,”
The VIA Openbook mini-note is designed to accomodate the users need of broadband intrnet connection, so Openbook mini-note will be packed with WiMAX, HSDPA, or EV-DO/W-CDMA options, Wifi, Bluetooth and a standard feature for acutting-edge device : AGPS.
VIA claiming that Openbook support Vista,XP and Linux. With its features and the high demand for UMPC or ultra portable laptop, I think it won’ttake long to a manufacturer release the Openbook in the market.
