Toshiba Portege R500 series Laptop
Toshiba Portege R500 series is another new laptop introduced by Toshiba after the Tecra M9 and Portege M700. The Portege R500 series Will comes in two versions which are R500-11J and R500-11I, both will be available this month.
Toshiba Portege R500-11J specifications
The Portege R500-11J is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 ULV processor at 1.20GHz, 2GB RAM and 64GB SSD. Comes in 283 x 215.8 x 19.5/ 25.5 mm dimension, the Portege R500-11J has 799 grams weight to challeng MacBook Air in dimension and weight. And like MacBook Air, The 500-11J also has no optical drive. Its 12.1-inch Transflective LED display is managed by Intel GMA 950 chipset to bring WXGA resolution (1280 x 800).
Bundled with Windows Vista Pro OS, R500-11J is equipped with a Gigabit ethernet, Bluetooth, Wifi a/g/n and 3G+ data connention.Protected by a 1 year International Warranty, Portege R500-11J is priced at 2,500 EUR.
Toshiba Portege R500-11I specifications
The Portege R500-11I has specifications like the 11J version the 64GB SSD is replaced by 120GB HDD. Its graphic accelerator is an Intel 945MS Express chipset instead og GMA 950. another difference is the presence of a DVD Super Multi Ultra-slim optical drive. The Portege R500-11I is has the same dimension with R500-11J but a little bit heavier with its 999 grams weight. Portege R500-11I ispriced at 2,050 EUR.
