Asus Eee PC 701 umpc specs and review
Yesterday, Andrew from NotebookReview.com is lucky enough to get his hands on the Asus UMPC Eee PC 701.
The Asus Eee PC701 comes in 7-inches display and measures at 226 x 165 x 21 mm ( weigs at around 1 Kg) and powered by Intel mobile CPU (Intel 910 chipset, 900MHz Dothan Pentium M) processor and 512MB RAM to run Asus tailored Linux version. Files are storaged at 8GB or 16GB flash hard drive. The Eee PC701 also feature 300K pixel video camera, 3 USB ports, 1 VGA out, SD card reader, modem, Ethernet, headphone out, microphone in. It’s battery claimed to be last for 3 hours.
On the package, Asus already installed a bunch of useful application to work, play games or entertainment.What impress Andrew most is it’s boot-up and shutdown timewhich only took 10 seconds to boot and 5 seconds to shutdowm. Impressive, huh?The screen also deliver decentcolor and brightness.Particularly considering it’s $250 price for 8GB version and slightly more for the 16 GB version.The only drawback is it’s build.
