Acer Travelmate 4720 has Magnesium Alloy Casing
Intel “Santa Rosa”-based business notebooks line-up are getting it’s moment these days. Every notebook manufacturer launched their Santa Rosa notebook these days. Acer just released Acer TravelMate 4720.
The TravelMate 4720 comes in magnesium alloy casing provides improved rigidity and light weight.More over, Travelmate 4720 has cutting edge performance with Intel Core 2 Duo T7100/T7300/T7500/T7700 processors choices, up to 4 GB of dual-channel DDR2 533/667 MHz memory enables faster processing of business applications to meet intense multitasking requirements. Graphic is driven by Integrated Intel® GMA X3100 3D graphics offer full support for the Windows® Aero™ 3D interface of Windows Vista™ , while screen is 14.1″ WXGA wide-screen ( 1280 x 800 Px ) aspect display provides 30% more viewing area for increased efficiency.
Acer pre-installed Genuine Wndows Vista Business / Premium or Basic depending on the model on TravelMate 4720.
For connection, Acer provides Intel® Next-Gen Wireless-N3 (dual-band quad-mode 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N) network connection,
Enhanced Bluetooth® 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) delivers faster transfer rates and allows support for several Bluetooth® devices without affecting system performance and Gigabit Ethernet with Alert Standard Format (ASF) and Wake-on-LAN support.A wide range of I/O ports, such as a Type II PC Card slot, a 5-in-1 card reader, four USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394 port (4-pin), external display (VGA) port, fast infrared (FIR) port, and more, expand the functionality of your TravelMate 4720.
Security is another important thing Acer concern, they install Acer FingerLaunch, featured in the Acer Bio-Protection solution, provides secure convenience by launching authenticated applications or documents and managed accounts with a swipe of the enrolled fingers.
With weight only 5.29lbs, Acer Travelmate 4720 has $1,200 starting price.
