PT Elevo Technologies Indonesia (ETI), an Indonesian company introducing its $100 netbook called Elevo R7. Unlike OLPC or other which offer $100 price only for bulk quantity, say thousand units only, Elevo offer the $100 retail price. Offered with an IDR 998.000 price tag ( around $110), Elrvo R7 sport a 800 x 480 pixel 7-inch display and runs on Windows CE 6.0 or Android OS. The netbook is powered by a 533MHz ARM9 processor, 128MB of RAM and 2GB onboard Nand flash storage. Other features including WiFi b/g, two USB ports and 2-in-1 memory card reader. Elevo R7 will be available starting on August but pre-order is already up the company’s website.
The 10-inch version called Elevo R10 also ready for pre-order. R10 is priced at IDR 1.398.000 or around $153. This one offer a 1024 x 600 pixel 10-inch screen, chicklet keyboard, a 1.3MP webcam, ethernet LAN, audio in/out and stereo speakers. Other specs are similar with R7. [Elevo]
