Nokia Money Ready in 2010
Nokia Money, the latest innovation from the Finnish company is about tobe revealed at the Nokia World this September. Nokia Money will let its consumers to use their mobile phones to send money to other people and to pay for goods, pay utility bills and top up their sim cards with credit.
The usage is simple, Nokia described it as “as simple and convenient as making a voice call or sending an SMS.”
Nokia Money is designed for developing countries where access to banking is restricted but mobile phones have penetrated to even the remotest of corners.
Nokia said that they will build a wide network of Nokia Money agents that will provide facilities for consumers to deposit or withdraw cash to support this service.
The service is expected to up and running at least in 2010 while at Nokia World, Nokia Money will be demoed.[source]
