PDF files are translated into Kindle format in about 10 seconds. The only pdf files that will not translate are those that are over 10megs in size, or that require a login. For example, the new PMBOK Version 4 (from pmi.org) will not translate on the free.kindle.com site due to the fact that you have to be a PMI member to download that pdf and it initially requires a login. I tried twice to get it converted to my kindle. No luck. (exeunt stage-left wondering out loud where I can find a crack for the Kindle file format. Oh!
