Sandisk offering 64 GB SSD
SSD demands for new notebook growing rapidly since it’s introduced to the market and SSD’s capacity multiply every each new product released.
After releasing SSDs with 64GB, Now at Computex 2007, Sandisk introducing it’s 64-GB capacity of 2.5-inch and 1.8-inch solid state drives (SSDs).
“Laptop manufacturers have requested more memory capacity for systems that use the Microsoft Vista platform, which can require a number of preloaded accessories and security suites,” said Doreet Oren, SanDisk director of SSD product marketing. “Also, there is interest in developing laptops for gaming, and the SSD is well-suited for the performance and memory requirements of those users. Thus, by offering greater capacities on our SSD products, we are making our products more appealing to a wider customer base.”
SSD in known for it’s durability and reliability, higher performance and lower power consumption. it’s durability is six times better than notebook hard disk.
The Sandisk SSD 64 GB will be ofeered as samples in the 3rd quarter, and available to the market by end of the tear.mass production planned to commence prior to the end of the year.
