Harry Potter Theme Park open in 2009
Harry Potter fans, welcome to the Hogwarts Castle. Yes, it’s real, when it’s open in late 2009.
‘Hogwarts Castle is a part of a billion dollar theme park dedicated to fans of Harry Potter which is expected to open in late 2009 or early 2010 in Orlando, Florida.
There will be three main areas on the park: Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade village and Forbidden Forest. They will include a high-tech ride through the imaginary world, two roller coasters, a Three Broomsticks restaurant and Hagrid’s Hut. Tourists will also be able to buy Butterbeer from Hogshead Tavern, chocolate frogs from Honeyduke’s and magic wands from Ollivanders.
You’re going to be able to touch, feel and smell it,” said Tom Williams, chief executive of Universal Parks and Resorts.
For Warner Bros, “Harry Potter” has been one of the studio’s most lucrative film franchises. It will release the fifth of its seven films, “Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix,” on July 11. Rowling’s final book in the series, “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows” is due out July 21.
