Kohjinsha unveils its PM series UMPC. If this Kohjinsha’s UMPC looks familiar to you, that’s because you already know it with a different name, the UMID mBook M1.This UMPC sport a 4.8″ display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution and powered by a 1.1GHz Intel Atom N510 processor, 512MB of RAM and a 16GB SSD as well as Intel GMA 500 graphic controller.

Other features cramped to its small chassis (158 x 94 x 19 mm) including USB port, SIM card slot, 3G support, Wifi, Bluetooth, microSDHC card slot, a 1.3MP webcam and a headphone jack. This Kohjinsha UMPC comes with a ¥59,800 ($647) price tag.[source]

Viliv S7 UMPC which was showed at IDF 2008 is finally announced complete with its specs and price. Viliv S7 will be available in three models called Viliv S7 I-LOG HX, I-LOG 3X and D-LOG 3X. All models come with a 7-inch display. I-LOG HX is an entry level qwerty UMPC powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 60GB HDD. This entry level UMPC runs Windows XP OS while its battery has a 9.5 hours lifespan.Its price will be around $572.

Viliv S7 I-LOG 3X is similar to I-LOG HX but instead of 60GB HDD, I-LOG 3X carry a 32GB SSD and has $628 price tag. While the most advanced models, the D-LOG 3X got an integrated DMB TV tuner ( yep, its the Korean version). D-LOG 3X will be priced at $666. International version will packs 2GHz Intel Atom Z550 processor and runs Windows Vista while Windows 7 upgrade will be available for free.

Another UMPC surface at Hong Kong Electric Fair 2009. This one comes from Kinstone which introducing its 7-inch touchscreen UMPC called Kinstone KS-UMD070VB. This Kinstone UMPC packs 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor, up to 2GB of RAM and 30GB HDD. Kinstone KS-UMD070VB runs either Windows XP or a flavor Linux OS. What is the minimum required specifications for computer to runs Windows 7 ? Well, actually I don’t know, but seeing Amtek U560 UMPC successfully running Windows 7 is really amaze me. Powered by an Intel A100 processor clocking at just 600 MHz and only with 512 MB of RAM, Amtek 560 UMPC can runs Windows 7 with Experience Index rating of 1.2.

You need a USB external DVD and a copy of Windows 7 Beta DVD to install it to Amtek U560. Unfortunately its Wifi module is not supported by Windows 7 Beta but we hope it will be supported by Windows 7 Final release. [source]
